THE BEGINNING OF BUENA PARKThe Warren store built in 1900 on Grand Avenue between 9th Street and the railroad depot, was the second mercantile store serving what the census had just shown to be nearly 1000 persons.
One of the important persons was the first medical doctor in the area, Dr. W. D. Hasson. In addition to that needed service, Dr. Hasson was a member of the first Board of Trustees of the new Buena Park School District and one of the early magistrates in the area. His wife added to the town service. In 1905 with Mr. Lazarus, a minister, Mrs. Hasson donated books to begin the Buena Park Library.
